Mandy Turner, Mike Stevens, and Kez Casey join you this week. In car news, Holden announce Dave Buttner as new Managing Director, the 2019 Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 get a four-cylinder engine, and the Volkswagen Caddy Beach Camper is coming to Australia. Also, two studies have found half of new car buyers don't prioritize safety, and the majority of buyers are keen on hybrids. We talk to Professor Stephen Robinson from RMIT University about research that has found how vibrations in cars can make you sleepy. Mandy is fresh back from Goodwood Festival of Speed, and hear her chat with automotive engineer James Brighton from Cranfield University who worked on the autonomous 1965 Ford Mustang (Goodwood podcast special to come). Todd Reed sent us an email at podcast@caradvice.com and was keen to hear our thoughts on why we can't drive left-hand-drive new cars on our roads. We speak to Jez Spinks about his comparison between the 2018 BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63. |
