We’re often told that you have to be very strong and aggressive when you have a disagreement with your builder or contractor because they won’t listen if you aren’t. But laying down the law and being harsh is often very detrimental to your goal and once the relationship is broken, it can’t be mended.


In this episode, I’m discussing the relationships that you need to build and cultivate during a build. Whether it’s with your broker, real estate agent, builder, accountant, or architect, there are several different relationships that you will need to nurture during your building journey. 


Cultivating these relationships is vital to ensure a successful build and the possibility of future projects down the line. I have found from experience that when disagreements arise, it’s very important to be mindful of the wording, tone and phrases you use in communication to ensure a harmonious relationship. I’ll run you through how to address problems with your build in a way that allows both parties to come to a mutual agreement and still want to work together.
