Women develop self leadership skills and learn the importance of strengthening values.She is part of the Alternatives to Violence worldwide project that is active in 128 countries. It is a community movement that offers a personal development program, where individuals chose non-violent pathways through play-based activities.Shelly Van Derwerff is a practising occupational therapist.
