Film has taken a backseat to digital photography. Digital is faster, more feature rich, but is it producing more pleasing images? Is the life of a photographer better in the digital world? Is film still relevant as a professional tool?
Our presenters, Dan Wooldridge of Eon Images and Mark Dohring of Bentinmarcs, shoot film in their careers as professional photographers. They specialise weddings and portraits. They are skilled digital shooters, who have actively chosen film.
This session will include a demonstration shoot, a return to Atkins for lunch whilst the film is processed, then a review of what was shot. Mark and Dan will show you their process, their work, and why this works for them.
You can expect to learn:
- Why Mark and Dan have made this choice.
- How to prepare for a shoot when working with film.
- Light metering for film.
- Film format options.
- Gear options.
- Film workflow.
A light lunch is included.
