This interview first aired on Tuesday the 2nd of September, 2025 on ONE FM 98.5 Shepparton.
One FM breakfast announcer Plemo interviews The Salvation Army's Jim Gow about the upcoming Cinema Cosplay event for Youth Fest 2025.
Cinema Cosplay is an event that opens Youth Fest for Greater Shepparton. Youth Fest is a month-long celebration of all things young people, showcasing achievements as well as promoting interactive activities that young people can be a part of.
Cinema Cosplay is a partnership being led by Salvation Army North East Youth Services, or NEYS for short, based in Shepparton, with Village Cinemas Shepparton being both the venue and a partner of the event.
This event is about combining cosplay, or costume play, in this case a ‘Marvel’ theme, combined with a Marvel movie – “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”.
There will be prizes for best dressed in Marvel theme as well as a photographer so capture your costume on a “Fantastic Four” backdrop. Young people are encouraged to dress in cosplay if they can, even if it isn’t Marvel and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere created.
The event will be held at the Village Cinemas Shepparton, on the 6th of September, starting at 7pm for an 8.30 movie start time. Tickets are to be purchased before the event at https://www.trybooking.com/DEVQO
