Episode 001 of the Former Action Guys Podcast is an introduction to the show's format and the host, Justin Cramer. Justin briefly covers his 12 year career in the Marine Corps before introducing the first guest on the Former Action Guys podcast, HM3 Camino Amil.
HM3 Camino Amil, or just Cam, served as a Navy Corpsman and is a recipient of the Purple Heart, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device (x2), and the Combat Action Ribbon. Cam was assigned to 2nd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment as a line corpsman and completed three deployments to Afghanistan's restless Sangin Valley.
During this podcast Cam discusses Navy boot camp, medical training he received, Field Medical Training Battalion and two of his three deployments, including the IED incident that led to him receiving the Purple Heart.
