	Description:		This video honors 2022 ASPEN Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Dr. Ezra Steiger, emeritus professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Steiger’s journey to nutrition began as an intern at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He worked with ASPEN legends — Drs. Jonathan Rhoads, Harry Vars, and Stanley Dudrick — in the new science of intravenous feeding and surgical nutrition. He shares fond memories of working in the IV rat labs with these great mentors and of how they formed ASPEN and ASPEN’s role in his career. He notes the changes in the field of nutrition, the growth of the multidisciplinary nutrition team, and the importance of the physician as the leader of the team.
