4: A trip to Girona to meet Mitch Docker

Category: Sports & Recreation

Description:
For this episode of The Cycling Podcast Lionel Birnie travelled to Girona to meet Mitch Docker.

Melbourne-born Docker rides for EF Education First and is about to embark on his 12th season in the elite pro peloton. He came to Europe in 2009 when he got a contract with the Skil-Shimano team, then moved to Orica-GreenEdge, where he spent six years, before heading to EF Education First.

In that time he's evolved from sprinter to lead-out man to Classics specialist to road captain.

He's also the host of his own podcast, Life in the Peloton, but we thought it was time to turn the mic on Mitch and ask him the questions for a change...

Coming soon: The Cycling Podcast and Life in the Peloton are joining forces for 2020 and Mitch's series of podcasts will be published on our channel from January 29. In the meantime, look out for edited versions of some of his favourite episodes from the archives on our channel.
