	Description:		After years of enduring an emotionally abusive marriage, Sandra finally filed for divorce from her husband, Paul. She moved in with a friend, enrolled in school, and started making plans for a fresh start. But Paul and their 17-year-old son, Jason, were not pleased, and when Sandra held her ground, father and son began making plans of their own. Special Guest Detective Kurt began his career in law enforcement in 1971. Over the course of his career, he worked for both the police and sheriff’s departments in his Small Town. After starting in patrol, he became a narcotics officer for 10 years and then a violent crimes detective for 9 years. Though he retired in 2002, Detective Kurt still works cold case homicides on a volunteer basis for the sheriff’s department he served for so many years.
