17 year old Brittanee had asked her parents if she could go to Myrtle beach with friends for spring break. Her parents said no, but she sneaked away and went anyway. On the night of April 25, 2009, she was walking from one hotel to another while texting her boyfriend back home. They had been in constant contact since Brittanee had been in Myrtle Beach. And then suddenly the texts from Brittanee stopped. And nobody has seen or heard from her since.
