First, the JDU and then the LJP - both key NDA allies of the NDA, essential for the smooth functioning of the alliance as it comes to power, stated they have problems with Agnipath - the BJP's flagship programme for recruitment into the armed forces. The JDU is clear, "There is resentment. So, we will seek a review of the Agniveer scheme." The remarks come at a time when the JDU and the TDP have emerged as kingmakers after the election results. Both parties have started making demands on the posts they want and now, evidently, raising questions on key policy decisions as well.
