India became the first nation to land a craft near the Moon south pole. Mr Hadfield, the former commander of the International Space Station and the first Canadian astronaut to walk in space, said, "Chandrayaan 1 and 2 were the mothers of success for Chandrayaan-3. It is a great moment to celebrate. But now the real work begins," he told NDTV.
