- Patient: “The ability to take a great deal of punishment from evil people or circumstances without losing ones temper, without becoming irritated or angry, or without taking vengeance.” Baker Bible Dictionary
- Makrothumia (μακροθυμία, ας, ἡ): Greek term for long-suffering.
