Today, Jacqui and Bryan get into hangovers on their week of exploring our fascinating bodies! When it comes to hangover, ethanol is the molecule we can thank for those nasty hangovers and it's in all alcoholic beverages - the more ethanol, the greater the potential for a hangover. Of course, symptoms and the severity of a hangover can vary depending on weight, age, genetics, and other factors. Dr. Judith Grizzle is a professor of psychology at Bucknell University and an internationally recognized behavioral neuroscientist and on a video collaboration with Ted Ed, she digs into how exactly alcohol causes a hangover and whether there's any way to reliably prevent it. Go check out her video to learn more about hangovers and our bodies!
