Zhao Ze(沼泽) is a quartet who combines instrumental post-rock soundscapes with traditional Chinese instruments including the guqin and the xiao.
Lately, we interviewed Hai Liang, the guqin player of the group, who not only electrified the ancient zither but also innovatively used a cello bow and distortion to produce a unique voice and fresh energy.
Today, let's hear songs selected from their album 'Yesternight, Yes, Tonight(琴晚)', with Hai Liang explaining the stories and inspirations behind each piece.
