Will & Chris talk to food writer and activist, Jack Monroe. Jack was a single parent living in poverty when she created incredibly cheap but nutritious recipes to feed herself and her son. After publishing the budget recipes in a blog she was offered a book deal and soon became a best-selling food writer. As an outspoken activist, particularly on poverty and hunger issues, Jack has attracted a great deal of online abuse and tells Will and Chris how she copes and even tracks down those responsible. They also discuss coming out as non-binary, gender norms and why she got so much abuse after winning a Woman of the Future award.
