Their crimes are some of the most violent and disturbing acts against children ever committed in Britain. They abducted, tortured, beat, sexually abused, and murdered five children. The couple quickly became the most hated people in the country.

There is also some debate as to whether her involvement was the result of her fear of Ian Brady.
