The row over whether the BBC should repeat this classic TV series almost mirrors the split in the Country over Brexit says Jon Gaunt. To call the programme or Windsor Davies racist is cultural revisionism at its worse but just typical of the UK Establishment Elite at the moment. The way they sneer at those of us who adore this humour is the same attitude they apply over our decision to vote leave. They think we are all racist knuckle draggers and that their opinion is always the right one. They do not credit us with the intelligence to be able to see programmes in their historical and cultural place.
