July 14 | Chris Froome put time into all his rivals as the Tour de France reached the Pyrenees and the Telegraph Cycling Podcast team of Richard Moore, Lionel Birnie and Daniel Friebe put the events of stage 10 into context in today’s show.

In Tarbes before the start of the stage, BMC’s Max Sciandri and Tinkoff-Saxo’s Sean Yates were optimistic about the chances of their overall contenders, Tejay Van Garderen and Alberto Contador. We hear from them speaking before the race set off.

On the road, that optimism was perhaps slightly misplaced as Froome launched an attack six-kilometres from the top of the climb to La Pierre-Saint-Martin to win his first stage of the race and stretch his advantage in the yellow jersey.

Of course, dominance in the Tour de France provokes scepticism, particularly coming the day after Froome’s performance data from the 2013 race found its way into the public domain, as revealed in the Daily Telegraph.

Richard, Lionel and Daniel address that speculation and they weigh up the good, and bad, performances from the first mountain stage.

There are also interviews with Orica-GreenEdge’s British rider Adam Yates, who was an excellent seventh on the stage during his debut Tour, and from his sports director Matt White, plus there’s a chat with Marc Sergeant, directeur sportif of Lotto-Soudal, whose rider Tony Gallopin is the best-placed Frenchman overall on Bastille night.
